Software Reviews of MobileMe Family Pack [OLD VERSION]Customer Review: If priced under $100 USD, then jump on it Summary: 3 StarsI purchased this product less than a year ago and paid $85 USD for the family pack. As I write this, the price is over $110 USD for this older version (my second one activated just fine) and over $122 USD for the newer version. Honestly, I can't say the service has improved all that much and I will go back down to the single version.
Customer Review: Hard to set up on Tiger Summary: 4 StarsI have had a .Mac account for several years and I thought it would be benificial for my wife to have the ability to email pictues easily. This was not an easy to set up from Tiger. It is now a .Me not .Mac and my instructions in Tiger always talked about your .Mac account. Even tech support had problems. They had to go and find a computer with Tiger on it. I got if finnally to work on the email, but still some bugs on sending pictures from iPhoto. I will take her mac mini to the aplle store for help.

Customer Review: Fantastic Service!! Must HAVE if you have an iPhone and Macs Summary: 5 StarsMobileMe did have a very rocky start last summer and turned away a lot of users. But I have to say I am very happy with it. It has been working very reliably since and it is a fantastic service. We have 2 iphones in my household and we have 2 Macs. It is amazing and so convenient that I can add an address book entry or create a calendar event or make an update on any of my devices and it near instantly and seamlessly updates all my other devices. How cool is that? I never have to worry about losing data. I remember how dreadful it was to manually update my contacts every time I got a new mobile phone. For less than $8 a month for a family pack at the $99 Amazon price is a hard bargain to beat for the convenience of just the synchronization service. In addition you get 20GB of storage (primary account) for mail, photos, videos, files. Well integrated interface from Leopard OS X into MobileMe for transferring files or uploading photos/videos. Family pack comes with 4 additional accounts in addition to the primary and each family account I believe gets 5GB of storage.
Now with the new "Find my iPhone" service just launched with the iPhone 3.0 Software update, the MobileMe service is all the more a necessity in my opinion. You can track your phone if you lose it and if it is stolen you can remotely erase all your data on the phone. And if you get your phone back recovery is a snap from your itunes backup. It is just cool that it shows you on a map exactly where your iphone is. I suppose it helps you keep tabs on your kids too if you need to.
Customer Review: Totally Satisfied Summary: 5 StarsI really enjoy this service. I have my email, calender, and contacts always up to date without having to sync my phone with wires. I received the product in a timely manner.
