Software Reviews of Final Cut Express 4Customer Review: Final Cut Express 4 (Apple Pro Training Series) Summary: 5 StarsThis is perfect for anyone who is either new to video editing or graduating from imovie to this more demanding but much more powerful application. It is complementary to the large Users Manual that comes with FCE. The course begins with a couple of lessons which are designed to introduce anyone at all to the necessary concepts, and progresses by carefully integrated steps, making use of excellent visual media from the included DVD. Highly recommended.
Customer Review: Amazing Summary: 5 StarsThis software is amazing and i definately underestimated it, with some creativity you can make just about anything. Ive made lightsabers, gunshots, explosion and lots of other stuff. There is also a bunch of filters, i use color correction to make my movies look more filmish then home movie like.. I didnt buy it though and i dont suggest u do either. Go get a bittorrent and search for it its FREE 100% and its awesome.
Customer Review: Great program at a great price! Summary: 5 StarsWow, this is a really powerful program that isn't too hard to figure out. I bought this book to go along with it:
Apple Pro Training Series: Final Cut Express 4 (Apple Pro Training)
In about a week, I was able to completely do anything I need to do.
Customer Review: Apple Removed Good Features Summary: 3 StarsApple removed from Final Cut Express 4 some of important features contained in the previous version, Final Cut Express HD 3.5. Macworld identified "a pair of significant omissions." The most significant one for me is removal of Soundtrack, a program for scoring movies with music. Apple may want us to make do with GarageBand, but Soundtrack is better geared toward the job of creating a (you see it coming) soundtrack. Compared to GarageBand, Soundtrack "offered more options and better performance" (Macworld). Is it unreasonable for a consumer to assume that Apple would design version 4 of a program to be better than version 3.5, rather than stripped of valuable capabilities? (The other significant loss is a reduction in the number of animated LiveType fonts.)
Final Cut Express is a good program, just not as good, in a couple of very important ways, as it used to be.
Customer Review: Love It! Summary: 5 StarsI ordered this for my son (16 years old). He is a budding filmmaker and this product gave him the features that the full Final Cut has without the expensive price. He has been editing and learning about film editing. I may purchase the full product if he continues to be interested.
